Bio


Lauren Bertelson is an artist from Boulder, Colorado currently based in Palm Beach, Florida, who uses photography and domestic craft to explore themes of domesticity, femininity, labor, and the multigenerational transfer of these concepts. Her work has been exhibited at Light Work, Colorado Photographic Arts Center, Studio 1608, Cultural Council of the Palm Beaches, the Biblio Gallery and the Schine Student Center at Syracuse University. She is a recipient of a SOURCE Grant for the spring of 2022 to pursue her most recent body of work, Like Mother, Like Daughter. Lauren has a BFA in Art Photography from Syracuse University.  Past projects include a crochet tapestry, Eighty Seasons: a Summary, that visually represents the relationships that have been an integral part of her life, as well as a series of images As the Shadows Lengthen, that explore her bout with chronic insomnia.
